About Dr. Arons

Dr. Andrea Arons

  • Who is Dr. Arons?

Dr. Arons grew up in Agoura and moved back to the area to raise her own family! She met her wonderful husband, Neal, when they were students at Agoura High School. They met on the swim team, and also played water polo. They both went on to study at UCSB, and while there Neal worked his magic and got Dr. Arons a job where they could, together, collect hazardous waste for the Environmental Health and Safety Department. Such love! Neal moved out to New York so they wouldn’t have to be apart while Dr. Arons was in dental school, and they married in 2007. They now have 3 wonderful children, Scarlett, Brielle, and Reed. Their little family wouldn’t be complete without the chihuahuas, Petunia Viper and Hamilton!

  • How did Dr. Arons decide to become a dentist?

Dr. Arons completed an undergraduate degree at University of California at Santa Barbara, earning a B.S. in Aquatic Biology and a minor in Anthropology. While earning her B.S., she worked on “Rescue 7”, UCSB’s ambulance as an EMT. The job and all of it’s excitement helped sway her to go into the medical field, but  all the gore moved her towards the more low-key aspect of dentistry. After college she worked in various dental offices for a year to ensure she liked the dental work environment. She then went on to get her D.D.S. from New York University College of Dentistry, which allowed her to spend four amazing years in Manhattan, living in the city and working on people of all walks of life! She further advanced her dental education by taking on additional classes in Aesthetic Dentistry. Dr. Arons is Invisalign certified, and is currently studying advanced Orthodontics through U.S.D.I.

  • And when she’s not at the office….?

Hobbies galore! Dr. Arons loves doing arts of all varieties, a talent that’s helped her immensely with the small, fine details of dentistry.  Whether it’s painting, sculpting, beading, or knitting, she does it all! You’ll find her finger painting with the kids on any given day. She’s an avid baker, and has yet to meet a cookie she didn’t like! However, don’t expect to find her inside all the time! She loves gardening, hiking, and being outdoors in general. If there’s a campfire nearby, she’ll find it – s’mores in hand! When time allows, she loves to volunteer at local schools, and happily teaches about the importance of good oral health habits.
